Summary

Zhuge Liang devises a plan to help the Xiongnu captives survive by convincing them to open the gates of Chang'an during the battle, allowing the Han army to enter. He provides them with food and assures them that their grasslands will suffer under Cao Wei's demands. The Xiongnu captives follow through on their promise to Zhuge Liang, turning the tide of the battle. Jia Xu, who had discounted the Xiongnu, is dismayed by this unexpected development.
