Summary

In the Bei Hai Jun harbor, a watchtower and an eagle tower were established for surveillance and communication. A messenger eagle brought urgent news of a significant victory for the Qing Zhou army, capturing over 100 Goguryeo supply ships and causing turmoil among Goguryeo troops. Meanwhile, in Pyongyang City, Yuan Tai Zuo anxiously awaited updates from his troops, fearing the worst due to a lack of communication. When a messenger finally arrived with alarming news of the troops' surrender due to food shortages and a landslide, Yuan Tai Zuo was devastated. His son, Yuan Gai Su Wen, proposed to negotiate and assess the situation in Bei She City. Upon arrival, he met the captured Goguryeo commander, Han Qi Ming, who recounted the disastrous events leading to their surrender. Meanwhile, the Sui Jun monitored a prisoner camp where the starving captives expressed their despair. Yuan Gai Su Wen assured them of his commitment to their return home.
