The Three Kingdoms: The Prodigal Son of Shu Han, starting with a fiery blaze at Wolong Ridge.
Chapter 519: The Troops Settle in the Wetlands, Water Cannot Flow Through . [517]
Summary
The chapter describes a battle between the forces of Cao Pi and Liu Mang at the city of Fan. Cao Pi initially had the advantage by occupying the city, but Liu Mang used stone throwers to launch ice blocks in an assault. The defenders poured water into the cracks of the city walls, which quickly froze and reinforced the walls. The Han army's offensive continued with stone throwers bombarding the city, injuring Wei soldiers. Cao Pi realized he could only wait for the ice and snow to melt and the Han army's supplies to run out. The Wei soldiers inside the city were disheartened, complaining about their poor living conditions. Meanwhile, Sima Yi was concerned that Zhao Yun's cavalry would make it difficult for Xiahou Shang's reinforcements to break through. Liu Mang suggested that the Sun-Liu alliance would not last long, and that Sun Quan might cooperate with Cao Pi, which Tai Shi Ci was worried about.Full content
