Cheng Yu, confident in his strategy, believed Zang Ba wouldn’t dare act until a victor emerged. Despite mocking the Han army earlier, Cao Pi faced a dire situation as the ice blocks caused significant damage to the city walls and injuries to his soldiers. As the siege intensified, Zang Ba's rebellion added to Cao Pi's troubles, leading him to curse Liu Mang for his misfortunes. Despite the Wei army's efforts to defend, the Han soldiers charged bravely, and Liu Mang ordered a retreat as the city fell silent. Cao Pi, desperate, sought strategies to repair the city walls and counter Liu Mang's tactics. Meanwhile, the Han army feasted on hot pot, taunting Cao Pi, who was unable to provide for his troops amid the harsh conditions.Full content
