Summary

Zhang Xuan arrives at the military camp and meets Lu Si Jian, who has recovered well since his release from prison. Fang Xuan Ling reports that out of seventy-six individuals, sixty-one are willing to redeem themselves, while the hardliners refuse. Zhang Xuan decides to release those who signed the agreements, planning to use the situation to balance power among the Hebei aristocracy. Meanwhile, spies sent by Yang Tan arrive in Licheng to investigate the Bohai Society's situation, gathering information on the recent conflicts and capturing officials.
