Summary

Li Yan Qing attends a gratitude meeting with the Transport Office, where he learns Liang Fang Ping is absent. The next day, he leads an inspection team back to the capital, facing tight deadlines. Yue Fei bids farewell to Li Yan Qing, discussing a reward for defeating bandits and the suggestion to move his family to a safer area due to the threat of Jurchen invasions. After returning to the capital, Li Yan Qing presents a detailed inspection report to Prime Minister Fan Zhi Xu, expressing concerns about the military's unpreparedness for the northern expedition and urging a suspension of the plan. Fan Zhi Xu agrees to try to persuade the Emperor. Meanwhile, Li Yan, a palace steward, meets with Liang Zhi to discuss helping Liang Fang Ping, but demands a much larger bribe than Liang Zhi expected, leaving him anxious and uncertain.
