Summary

Li Yan Qing arrives at the Pan family's banquet, preferring to attend alone for comfort. The banquet is lively, with a focus on mingling among the younger guests, unlike previous gatherings. He is summoned by Pan Cheng Yu to meet the elders in the inner hall, where he is warmly welcomed by Pan Xu and other senior members of the Pan family, who express gratitude for his support in a recent case. After a brief and formal toast, Li Yan Qing manages to escape the elder's company thanks to Cao Ping's suggestion to join the younger crowd. He finds himself enjoying the wintersweet blossoms in the garden when he is approached by Pan Qian Yun, who accuses him of harming Wang Jun. Li Yan Qing, feeling uncomfortable with the interactions at the banquet, considers leaving but decides to find a place to rest instead. He notices guests heading towards the Chen Building and decides to follow them.
