Summary

Li Yan Qing returns to his village and feels a deep sense of loss after visiting Aunt Hu's house. He is startled to see his father, Li Da Qi, drunk and is informed by family members that they helped bring him home. Li Yan Qing takes care of his father and reflects on his writing progress. He discovers a silk booklet containing the Hu Family Sword Technique, which he plans to practice later. Li Da Qi wakes up and shares good news about his rising status within the family, including a trip to Bianjing and managing family industries. They discuss visiting Li Yan Qing's mother's grave in Tangbei Township, revealing family tensions surrounding her burial. The next day, they set off for Tangbei on donkeys. During the journey, they bond over memories, and Li Yan Qing learns more about his father's past experiences in Tokyo.
