The Cold Door Hero

Summary

Li Yan Qing rushes to the village entrance at dawn and learns from Hu Da Niang that his cousin, Little Qing, has gone missing after playing in the yard. Fearing a man from the previous day has taken her, he sets off to find her, armed with a dagger for self-defense. He believes the man is hiding nearby in the woods. After running through the dark forest, he overhears a confrontation between Uncle Hu and the kidnapper, who threatens to harm Little Qing. Li Yan Qing, understanding Uncle Hu's past, decides to intervene. He throws the dagger, injuring the kidnapper and allowing him to rescue Little Qing. After ensuring her safety, they bury the kidnapper's body to avoid discovery. Later, Uncle Hu decides to leave the village to protect his family from potential threats, and Li Yan Qing offers him money for the journey. They part ways with sadness as Uncle Hu's family leaves the village.
