Summary

After a banquet, Xing Jue temporarily resides at Hao Mansion, soon to have a luxurious palace in Tianji Camp as the new chief commander. His rise creates a stir among soldiers, who view him as a legendary figure. The next day, Xing Jue tasks Lei Hang with investigating two individuals. He then visits Zhuangyuan Inn to retrieve a soul compass, hoping to persuade the shopkeeper Qian to transfer it to him. After a brief interaction, Qian challenges Xing Jue to a soul competition for the compass. Both infuse their soul power, and after a tense moment, the compass chooses Xing Jue, granting him possession of the coveted artifact.
