Chapter 48: "Iron Cavalry Assault, Winds and Clouds Change". [50]

Summary

The chapter describes the standoff between the Zhao Ting Da Jun and the combined forces of the Ying and Guifang clans at the gates of the Ying clan's city. The Guifang tribe, with 100,000 troops, faces off against the Zhao Ting forces, who are fortified and hesitant to engage. The Ying clan leader explains that the Zhao Ting forces are waiting for reinforcements due to their lack of confidence. The Guifang leader pushes for a decisive attack to boost morale and suggests a plan to storm the Zhao Ting camp. The Ying clan agrees, and they organize a coordinated attack. However, their initial attempts to fill the moats are thwarted by the Zhao Ting's cloud cars and archers. The Ying clan constructs catapults to counter the cloud cars, but the Guifang forces struggle to make progress. Meanwhile, the Zhao Ting army faces supply issues as local tribes ambush their convoys.
