Chapter 46: Bi Fang. [46]
Summary
Yi Fan is drawn to a towering iron tree but is restrained by his master, the half-elder Taoist, who warns him of spirit beasts guarding it. The Taoist conjures a tornado to retrieve an iron fruit, but a blue, one-legged beast named Bi Fang appears, unleashing flames that repel the tornado. The Taoist instructs Yi Fan to subdue Bi Fang, allowing him to possess his white fox companion but forbidding the use of its innate fire. Yi Fan, unsure of how to possess, faces Bi Fang's fiery attacks. He and the white fox throw rocks at the beast, but Bi Fang retaliates with devastating flames, injuring Yi Fan. The Taoist guides Yi Fan to concentrate, enabling him to harness newfound power. As Yi Fan transforms, he surprises Bi Fang with his strength, hinting at a potential victory.Full content
