Summary

Li Yan Qing is unexpectedly gifted a valuable bow by Cao Ping, which he hesitantly accepts. He meets Gao Chong, Cao Ping's nephew, who admires his archery skills. Cao Ping proposes a challenge to Li Yan Qing, reminiscent of his great-grandfather's legendary archery technique. Li Yan Qing successfully shoots a copper coin from a distance without disturbing the willow branches, impressing everyone. Despite Cao Ping's offer of a treasured sword as a reward, Li Yan Qing declines it, feeling unworthy. Cao Ping insists on hosting a banquet to celebrate Li Yan Qing's skills, and they agree to meet two days later.
