Summary

Li Yan Qing leaves Liang Shi Cheng's residence feeling conflicted about his recent promotion from the 7th to the 6th rank as a Shiyushi, realizing it means he will no longer lead troops, losing valuable connections. He reflects on his ambitions to rise in the Northwest Army and influence the future during the Jingkang Incident, but his plans were disrupted by political changes.
