Chapter 44: Pointing to Death. [661]
Summary
In the presence of Emperor Gengshi, Gui Bu Gui humorously acknowledged his role as Supreme Commander of Tai Shen, provoking an unexpected display of weakness from the cultivators of his army. Their arrogance was shattered when they fell from the palace roof due to Gui Bu Gui's spell. He challenged their abilities and suggested a spar between his son, Bai Wu Qiu, and the Tai Shen soldiers, despite the latter's hesitations. The spar escalated quickly, resulting in chaos as Bai Wu Qiu demonstrated overwhelming strength, leaving several soldiers severely injured. Liu Xuan, the emperor, attempted to maintain order but was overwhelmed by the scene. In the aftermath, Bai Wu Qiu's nonchalant attitude towards the violence and his refusal of the emperor's offer to become Tai Shen General underscored his unpredictability and the challenges facing the empire.Full content
