Summary

Zhong Shi Dao receives a victorious battle report from Hebei, detailing the complete annihilation of the Liangshan army and the death of their commander, Zhang Cen, with minimal casualties on their side. He praises Li Yan Qing for his strategic prowess and decides to inform the Emperor while allowing Li Yan Qing to march south to Qizhou. Li Yan Qing first addresses the local militia's placement before heading to Qizhou, where he encounters Yucheng County's magistrate, Liu Guang, who offers supplies and requests for the troops to station there due to fear of bandit attacks. Li Yan Qing, confident after his victory, agrees and plans to use Yucheng as a logistics base while plotting to capture Licheng County, which is vulnerable due to Song Jiang's focus on other fronts. The following day, a convoy of grain carts approaches Licheng County, where an ambush awaits. Lu Fei, disguised among the mule drivers, reveals their true intentions and attacks the enemy captain.
