Summary

The Liangshan soldiers, led by Zhang Cen, gathered as their numbers dwindled due to desertion. Zhang Cen addressed the remaining troops, acknowledging their dire situation and offering them a choice to leave or continue with him. Many chose to leave, leaving only about 300 loyal soldiers. They decided to return to their mountain home. Meanwhile, Li Yan Qing, leading a cavalry force, learned of Zhang Cen's departure and ordered a pursuit. The Liangshan army faced annihilation, with Zhang Cen eventually killed and the remaining troops wiped out. Concurrently, a large imperial army led by General Zhong Shi Dao prepared to advance against the Liangshan forces, armed with crucial intelligence about their positions and planning a strategic assault.
