Summary

Zhang Cen oversees a gathering of his soldiers after a chaotic retreat, realizing nearly 1,000 are missing, likely killed in an ambush. Despite their fear and exhaustion, they prepare to march north. Meanwhile, Li Yan Qing leads his cavalry to pursue the Liangshan forces, successfully ambushing them and inflicting heavy casualties. As the Liangshan soldiers reach Gaotang County, they find it heavily fortified by enemy troops, leaving them disheartened. A scout reports that their boats have been attacked, further sealing their fate. With no clear escape route and enemy cavalry approaching, Zhang Cen orders the army to continue towards Dezhou.
