Summary

Wang Ning An investigates the death of Zhao Yun Rang, a prince who had been accused of trying to poison the emperor. Despite rumors of his poor health, Zhao Yun Rang had been scheming to take the throne. Wang Ning An discovers that Zhao Yun Rang had used lead poison to frame a prince and undermine the emperor. Wang Ning An exposes the deceitful tricks of the Taoists, leading to a decline in their influence. He then attends the funeral of Zhao Yun Rang, where he confirms the prince's death and accuses his sons of being involved in the regicide plot. Wang Ning An threatens to make the sons of Zhao Yun Rang suffer the same fate as their father, forcing them to smelt lead and refine mercury in their estate.
