Summary

The Guandou army takes advantage of Xia Gong's retreat, surrounding the new city of Wang Ji. With only 40,000 defenders against 100,000 Guandou troops, the situation is dire. The Youqiong Clan's general is anxious about the Yi Di coalition joining forces, which could threaten the court. He convenes a meeting to devise a plan but struggles with the dilemma of retreating or advancing. Suggestions arise, but the right army supervisor's limited troops are deemed insufficient. Shuang Gou proposes a strategy to support Wang Ji and distract the Guandou army. After organizing a night retreat, Shuang Gou and the right army supervisor set up camps outside the city and launch a surprise attack, forcing the Guandou army to retreat as the defenders charge out, successfully encircling them.
