Summary

The scene is set at the CCTV No. 1 studio where the Chinese New Year's Gala is about to take place. The atmosphere is chaotic with people rehearsing and rushing around. Zhang Ye, a young artist, is searching for a place to rehearse and is eventually called by the director. He meets a little girl who is performing a acrobatic stunt and asks for her help in finding Zhang Yuan Qi. Zhang Ye then goes to the rest room where he finds Zhang Yuan Qi and Zhang Xia chatting. Zhang Xia talks about her years of experience performing at the Spring Festival and how it feels like home to her. Zhang Ye feels a pang in his heart and decides to make sure the program is perfect for people like Zhang Xia who have dedicated their lives to their craft. Later, Zhang Ye walks into a lounge where Zhang Yuan Qi and Zhang Xia are discussing their lack of a suitable song to perform. Zhang Ye confidently says he has a good song and offers to write one for them. Zhang Xia is both crying and laughing, and asks if Zhang Ye can write any kind of song he wants, including the melody. Zhang Ye nods, and Zhang Xia finds it interesting but hard to believe.
