Summary

The Liangshan army has taken over a county school as a temporary military camp, leading to the expulsion of students. Hu Qing Er anxiously seeks her father Hu Cheng's guidance regarding the refusal of Deputy General Wang Ying to release captured scholars, including County Lieutenant Zhou, despite Hu Cheng's warnings about the potential backlash from educated citizens. Hu Qing Er is determined to save Zhou, a friend of her brother Li, but is faced with the harsh reality of Liangshan's political intrigue and the danger posed by Wang Ying, a trusted aide of Song Jiang. Meanwhile, Li Yan Qing rushes to Zhou Chun's home, only to find it in disarray and learns of Zhou's capture. He confronts Hu Qing Er, who is also trying to save Zhou, but they discover that Wang Ying is behind the arrests. Luan Ting Yu, a figure from their past, reveals that the massacre was orchestrated by Song Jiang to undermine Lu Junyi's reputation. With time running out before Zhou's execution, they plan a rescue, while Hu Qing Er agrees to escort Li Yan Qing's sister-in-law out of the city for her safety.
