Summary

Daming Prefecture, a significant capital during the Song Dynasty, faces an invasion from the growing Liangshan army, which has expanded from a few thousand to 50,000 troops. After previous victories, Song Jiang aims to capture Daming Prefecture to enhance their political influence and shed their "bandit" image. Following a failed initial assault, Song Jiang and Lu Junyi devise a strategy, with Lu Junyi planning to attack from behind. Meanwhile, tensions arise between Hu Qing Er, her father Hu Cheng, and Wang Ying, a formidable commander in the Liangshan army, who is interested in Hu Qing Er. Despite Hu Cheng's disapproval of Wang Ying's character, he recognizes the political implications of their alliance. As the Liangshan forces prepare for an attack, they face a food shortage, leading to a decision to raid nearby villages or attack the county seat. Ultimately, Wang Ying charges into Tangyin County, resulting in its swift capture.
