Summary

Lu Chen and A Tu descend from the Snow Mountain, pondering the meaning of "Ye Zi." As they traverse a vibrant prairie, Lu Chen reflects on his past in the Southern Wilderness, feeling a deep-seated yearning for home. A Tu's appetite surges as it consumes stronger beasts, growing rapidly in size and power, resembling a giant black wolf by the end of their journey. After seven days, they reach the Longchuan River, which separates dangerous regions from the central area. Lu Chen expresses happiness at their progress and playfully converses with A Tu, who surprisingly draws a simple image in the dirt resembling mountains. Lu Chen realizes A Tu wishes to return to Kunlun Mountain, hinting at a desire to see someone again, leading to a moment of shared understanding between them.
