Chapter 361: The Wind Chasing Chronicle of Youyan. [363]

Summary

Chang Feng was responsible for supplying food for the Youqiong Clan's defenses. When the Goyu Tribe's great lord cut off the food supply, Chang Feng reported that Yi Di's relatives were coming to rescue him, prompting the Youqiong Clan to halt their siege and plan a nighttime retreat. Scouts indicated that the enemy would soon reach their new site, leading to a strategic withdrawal with a rear guard. The Goyu lord, eager for victory, pursued the Youqiong forces but underestimated their preparations. As the Goyu cavalry charged, they were ambushed by the Youqiong heavy infantry, leading to chaos and a disastrous retreat for the Goyu forces. The Youqiong Clan collected enemy warhorses and prepared for a long journey back to Youyan, facing severe food shortages. After three days of marching, they found themselves in desolate lands with dwindling supplies. Chang Feng scouted the area but found no signs of civilization, leading to orders to conserve food and search for wild game. Eventually, they reached the banks of a great river after days of travel.
