Chapter 35: Give Me a Reason (1). [70]

Summary

Chu Tian insists he is not the person Zi Xiao Sheng thinks he is, claiming to have just seen a living person for the first time. Zi Xiao Sheng, however, recognizes him and accuses him of being involved in a gold robbery that resulted in many casualties. Despite Chu Tian's denials, a confrontation ensues, showcasing their martial abilities. Chu Tian uses a powerful sword technique, but Zi Xiao Sheng easily counters with a protective barrier. Zi Xiao Sheng examines Chu Tian's sword and a strand of golden hair, revealing its unique properties that enhance strength. Although Chu Tian feels a sense of danger from Zi Xiao Sheng, he also senses no malice. After a brief exchange about the sword's origins, Zi Xiao Sheng returns it to Chu Tian, who expresses gratitude. As Chu Tian attempts to leave, Zi Xiao Sheng blocks his path, indicating that their encounter is not yet over.
