The Great Idle Person of the Zhenguan Era.

Chapter 342: Enclosing Land House. [349]

Summary

Li Su questioned Qian Fu Zi about the mysterious Turkic cavalry forces that helped defend the city of Great Tang. Qian Fu Zi revealed that the forces were small, about 2,000 men, but their tactics were sharp and they would often attack from the flanks, piercing through the enemy army and causing them to collapse. Li Su was skeptical, but Qian Fu Zi's information sparked new doubts and insights. Jiang Quan, Li Su's subordinate, was incredulous, citing the historical enmity between the Turkic people and Great Tang. Li Su remained calm, believing that if the Turkic people were indeed helping, the situation in Xizhou would be very interesting. He suspected that Governor Cao Yu was involved in wicked deeds and that the entire Western State's officialdom was corrupt. Li Su decided to secretly dispatch a group of elite cavalry to search for the Turkic forces, while maintaining a calm exterior.
