Summary

Shi Mu explores Yunyi City at night, noting the differences in local customs and the absence of the Mingyue Sect. He decides to investigate the lord's mansion, easily bypassing the patrolling Yihe tribesmen and navigating through magical formations inside. He spots a conversation between an old man and a young tribesman, recognizing the latter as one of the winged crane barbarians he had encountered before. Concerned about their plans, Shi Mu decides to leave the mansion and record the information on a jade slip to inform Zhong Xiu. After successfully delivering the jade slip to Wei, a trusted confidante of Zhong Xiu, Shi Mu blends into the shadows, while Wei, upon examining the slip, reveals a more cunning side as she prepares to inform Zhong Xiu.
