Summary

Wang Zhuang is on a journey, and while others think he's there to build his reputation, Li Su doubts his true intentions. Wang Zhuang mentions meeting Qian Fu Zi, a person with connections in the city, but he didn't follow him as he was preoccupied with what to eat for dinner. Li Su and Jiang Quan discuss abducting Qian Fu Zi, but Li Su decides to wait until Cao Yu Ming, the governor, returns to the city. Cao Yu arrives with over a thousand imperial soldiers, and Li Su is angered by the officials' disrespect towards him. Li Su receives an invitation to enter the city and meets Cao Yu at the Cishi Mansion. He is unimpressed by the mansion's simplicity and meets Cao Yu, exchanging formalities and taking their seats.
