Chapter 33: Arrival at the East Sea [33]

Summary

Tang Wu Lin, a nine-year-old boy, arrives at Donghai City's Soul Guidance Train Station, where he will attend Donghai Academy. He is alone, as his father told him he's a big boy and should experience more on his own. Feeling a bit lost and scared, Tang Wu Lin follows the crowd out of the station. As he walks, he sees a sleek black soul guidance car and two men in black suits, who seem to be waiting for someone. They address a boy around Tang Wu Lin's age, who is dressed in a blue tracksuit and has strikingly handsome features but an aloof demeanor. Tang Wu Lin accidentally bumps into the boy, apologizes, but is pushed away by one of the men in black suits. The boy gets into the car, and it speeds away. Tang Wu Lin feels a surge of anger towards the city folks. He exits the station, marvels at the gigantic structure, and looks around at the tall buildings and bustling crowd. Following his father's instructions, Tang Wu Lin doesn't trust a stranger who approaches him and instead asks law enforcement officers for directions to the shuttle bus for East Sea Academy. He finds the shuttle bus stop, where he meets a friendly black-haired girl who welcomes him to report for enrollment.
