Chapter 314: The Willow Branch Breaks on the Ba Bridge. [321]
Summary
Li Su, the Lord of Jingyang County, was escorted by a thousand elite cavalrymen as he set off on his journey to Western Zhou. He met General Jiang Quan, who was leading the cavalry, and after exchanging pleasantries, they began their journey. Along the way, they were joined by Cheng Chumo, who had come to see Li Su off. Cheng Chumo was disappointed that he couldn't accompany Li Su on his journey, but Li Su suggested that he could ask the emperor to let him take his place in Xizhou. However, this idea was quickly dismissed as unrealistic. Cheng Chumo bid Li Su farewell, breaking off a willow branch as a symbol of their reluctant parting. Li Su's carriage was luxurious and comfortable, with a low table, stove, soft cushions, and a fine black bear skin on the floor. He studied a yellowed sheepskin map as the carriage moved smoothly, enjoying the comforts of his journey.Full content
