Chapter 308: Accepting Disciples. [308]

Summary

Qin Shan Lan has been struggling with pain since returning to the Chu family's villa, feeling suffocated by Dong Yi's presence. She contemplates escaping but decides to use Dong Yi as a means to an end. She proposes to drug their dinner, which surprises Dong Yi. As they dine alone in a restaurant, Dong Yi realizes something is off with the drinks. Qin Shan Lan admits to drugging him, expressing her desire to commit a crime of passion and revealing her feelings for him. She requests that he stop monitoring her and later insists on learning ancient martial arts from him, threatening to harm herself if he refuses. Dong Yi, angered by her threats, initially refuses but eventually agrees to accept her as a disciple, provided she respects boundaries. Qin Shan Lan, relieved, kneels to show her gratitude. Dong Yi then encourages her to share her past, leading her to reveal her struggles with her engagement and her desire for strength to break free.
