Summary

In Ban Kou Village, fear of sudden deaths has gripped the community, prompting Sun Pang Zi to devise a patrol plan for the night. He splits the group into two, with the intention of keeping watch. Villagers, fearing for their lives, have taken to staying awake in groups, leading to a humorous yet tense atmosphere. Tan Cun Chang shares that some villagers sleep outside the village, believing it safer. Amidst this chaos, the protagonist experiences a disorienting fog and the disappearance of companions. Alone and increasingly frightened, he encounters a familiar shadow that hints at deeper mysteries, culminating in a shocking revelation: the monk Xiao He Shang, presumed dead, reappears.
