Chapter 303: "Winds and Clouds of Yinghe: The Emperor's Rescue Scheme". [305]

Summary

Jing Bei Mu, aware of being followed, restricts his subordinates' actions and inspects the Ying River Tribe, reporting back to Xi Yue about the tribe's noncompliance with court decrees and their military readiness. Concerned, Xi Yue informs Grand Minister Xia Qi, who realizes the tribe's rebellious intentions could pose a significant threat, especially if they capture Yi Di. Dayu, upon hearing Xia Qi's report, decides that eliminating Yi Di is necessary to prevent him from being used against the court. They discuss the challenges of framing Yi Di for collusion with rebels and consider alternative strategies. The acting governor of the Huaishan Clan suggests a plan to eliminate Yi Di under the guise of a trap for the rebels, which Dayu and Xia Qi find promising, though they remain cautious about the potential risks involved.
