Summary
Wei Ji wrote a letter to his family and sent it with his guard, Wei Zhi, to deliver it back home. The next day, guards gathered information about Zhang Rang and Zhao Zhong's schedules. Wei Ning visited Zhang Rang to pay respects and presented a mirror as a treasure. After some discussion, Wei Ning revealed his desire to purchase official positions, offering more mirrors in exchange. He exposed the governors of Ji and Qing Provinces as potential threats to Han Ling Di, prompting Zhang Rang and Zhao Zhong to consider Wei Ning's proposal.
