Summary
In Tai'an, wealthy official Zhang Tai Hua struggled with troublesome fox spirits, unable to find a solution despite reporting to the governor. Villagers spoke of an old man, Hu Er, who directed officials to Zhou San for help. Zhou, after being invited to a banquet, requested to use the officials' residence to confront the spirits. The officials were initially hesitant but agreed, following Zhou's instructions to remain quiet indoors. After a fierce battle, Zhou emerged victorious, presenting severed fox heads as proof.
