Summary

The story revolves around Dong Shangshu of Qingzhou, known for his strict household. One night, a servant boy witnesses a series of bizarre events after his young master scolds a maid and servant for jesting. Later, a bearded man enters with a human head, causing panic. The next morning, the young master discovers blood in his bed, prompting a visit from officials who reveal that a disoriented servant confessed to killing him. After confirming the events, the young master forgives the couple, who then mysteriously split their bed in half one night, adding to the legends of Guan Gong’s miracles.
