Summary

Li Shi Shi reluctantly meets Li Da Qi, Li Lang's father, to discuss her relationship with his son. Despite her low status as a former Le prostitute, Li Da Qi agrees to let Yan Qing marry her as a concubine rather than a legitimate wife. They arrange for Li Shi Shi to stay in Hangzhou while Yan Qing prepares for his assignment in the northwest. Li Da Qi promises to help formalize their relationship with a ceremony. After the ceremony, Yan Qing departs for his post, leaving Li Shi Shi sorrowful but supportive. She looks forward to moving to Hangzhou, where she hopes for a brighter future.
