Chapter 284: "Left Arm Disabled, Hero's Dream". [286]
Summary
Bai Wa suffers severe injuries to his left arm and rib, leaving him with irreversible damage despite the Cai Yao Xian Weng's efforts to alleviate his pain. Clinging to hope, Bai Wa struggles to accept his condition. Meanwhile, the Xia Hou clan reports his and Tie Wa's contributions to the court, leading to Bai Wa receiving high praise and commendations. The westward migration team, after a long journey, settles in a fertile area between the Tu Shan Shi and Ji clans, where they are warmly welcomed. Dayu and his companions are offered hospitality, and local leaders send supplies and gifts. The Grand Minister resumes court affairs, and plans for a new city named "Three Goats Bring Prosperity" are initiated for the safety of the migration team. The city is strategically designed with defensive features, and local clans assist in its construction. As commendation documents arrive, Dayu learns of the Huai Shan clan chief's death, prompting discussions on honoring fallen soldiers and rewarding living heroes. The elders decide on a public ceremony and proportional rewards, leading to formal plans being drafted for the rewards process.Full content
