Chapter 283: "Surviving the Battlefield: The Summer After Secret Plan". [285]
Summary
The Xia Hou Clan's defense organized scouts to gather intelligence on the Guandou army, learning that they had occupied Jun Tai City without attacking the main camp. Despite heavy casualties among the court's forces, the Xia Hou Clan planned a rescue mission for the injured soldiers. Disguised as commoners, they managed to help some wounded soldiers while others were captured by the Guandou army. The injured were brought back to a nearby village for care, and the Xia Hou Clan's defense arranged for medical treatment. The losses were significant, with the court's army reduced to just over ten thousand soldiers. Chang Feng, a captain from the Huai Shan Clan, arrived to report the deaths of his commander and troops, expressing deep remorse. The Xia Hou Clan's defense comforted him and planned to honor the fallen soldiers by reporting their names to the court for recognition. He also prepared to gather supplies and troops for future battles against the Guandou army while ensuring the wounded received proper care.Full content
