Summary

The chapter depicts a brutal battle between the Guandou soldiers and the imperial court's troops. Da Li Gui Wang strategizes with Si Zhai Zhu, who suggests a feigned attack to distract the defenders while some soldiers advance through the river. However, the defenders quickly counter this move. As the Guandou forces attempt a direct assault on a wooden bridge, they face fierce resistance from the imperial soldiers. The Guandou army elder shifts tactics to allow the Four Immortal Swordsmen to attack, which creates a gap for the heavy cavalry to advance. Despite their initial success, the Guandou forces find themselves surrounded by the imperial troops, leading to a desperate rescue attempt by the Daishan Swordsman for the Four Immortal Swordsmen, who are encircled by the rotating training camp warriors. The chapter ends with the Daishan Swordsman trying to break through the encirclement as the Four Immortal Swordsmen prepare to counterattack.
