Chapter 266: Observation and Being Observed. [267]
Summary
In a cold, desolate courtyard, Tao finishes washing clothes while a group of "ghosts" anxiously waits for Liao Yong Hong, who is inside the village chief's kitchen. As they grow increasingly uneasy, Shao Yu Zhi directs a "ghost" to push open the kitchen door to check on Liao. Inside, they see Liao Yong Hong, the village chief, and others, but Liao does not respond to inquiries. Shao Yu Zhi explains the concept of observation and how the current situation resembles Schrödinger's cat experiment, where observers create a reality. To gain clarity, they need more observers outside the courtyard. Three "ghosts" attempt to open the gate but fail, so they climb over a wall, only to find a thick fog surrounding the village. Meanwhile, Zhou Zhen enters the Yue family's blacksmith shop courtyard, hearing rhythmic clanging sounds that vanish when he approaches. He continues forward, sensing warmth and curiosity about the source of the noise.Full content
