Summary

Lu Chen and A Tu arrive outside the Serpent Valley while fleeing danger. The valley, known for its poisonous creatures, poses a significant threat, but they need to find food for A Tu, who is hungry after their escape. Unable to find suitable prey in the mountains, A Tu suddenly detects something and leads Lu Chen to a secluded tribe settlement. The tribe appears deserted, with several demon beasts hanging as cured meat, indicating their strength. A Tu, excited by the food, sneaks into the tribe and steals one of the demon beasts, alerting the tribe's inhabitants. Lu Chen realizes the tribe is made up of barbarians, and the markings he recognizes from a past encounter with a fire shaman confirm this.
