Summary

Lu Chen and A Tu escape from the Snake Vine Forest, managing to evade the black-clad figures due to the lack of Soul-Settling Talismans. They flee on A Tu, who reveals his incredible speed and strength, leaving the pursuers behind. As they approach Mouse Hill Mountain, Lu Chen decides to traverse it to avoid human enemies, despite the risk of encountering the notorious Cloud Ground Mice. However, they do not encounter any beasts and successfully cross the mountain. As night falls, they continue to flee, but Lu Chen remains vigilant, setting traps to detect pursuers. He and A Tu narrowly escape the black-clad figures, who relentlessly track them through the night, leaving Lu Chen with an eerie feeling of being stalked.
