Summary

Lu Chen and White Lotus encounter a group of black-clad assassins from the demonic sect, who strategically block their escape. Despite the intense pressure from the attackers, they manage to retreat into a dense forest, where the assassins choose not to follow. White Lotus questions Lu Chen about his knowledge of the vine forest, suspecting he has a secret that allows them to navigate it safely. Lu Chen acknowledges her perceptiveness but refrains from revealing that he possesses a mysterious seed from the Divine Tree, which has recently begun to awaken and allows him to influence the flora around him. They discuss their precarious situation and the limited sap they can take from the mother tree to escape. As they contemplate their next move, A Tu, their companion, behaves unusually, prompting Lu Chen to have a sudden realization about their situation and the assassins outside.
