Summary

Dayu summoned Yi Di to discuss governance and strategies against enemies, sending Tai Shi to convey the message. Upon arrival, Yi Di expressed his reluctance to participate due to his illness, but Tai Shi insisted he provide input for the elders' and Emperor Yu's concerns. At the palace, the elders urged Yi Di to command the retreat of the Sanmiao rebels besieging Jun Tai, as they were using his name to mislead the public. Yi Di felt trapped but realized that refusing would worsen suspicions about his loyalty. Encouraged by Tai Shi, he agreed to issue the command, understanding it would demonstrate his concern for the people and potentially restore their faith in him. After the meeting, Yi Di returned to his wives, who were relieved and hopeful that his command would lead to a significant achievement and possibly restore his standing.
