Summary

Bai Wa and Chang Feng pursued mountain bandits who had robbed imperial soldiers, reaching a stockade gate with a watchtower. After observing the area, they planned to rescue imprisoned soldiers after nightfall. They climbed the stockade wall and spotted a lively courtyard filled with bandits. Stealthily, they followed patrols and entered the courtyard. They overheard bandits discussing the prisoners and their plans for rewards. Taking action, they ambushed a bandit, killing him, and freed five captured soldiers. The group prepared to escape unnoticed while the bandits remained distracted.
