Judgment of Dayu.
Chapter 24: "Winds and Clouds of Dongyue: Dayu's Power Struggle and Rivers and Mountains". [26]
Summary
Dayu and Qi dismissed the treasury supervisor of the Hong Shan clan and decided to appoint the Huai Shan clan as the new treasury supervisor, while the Yi clan would take over water governance. Qi proposed to take on the role of legal affairs supervisor, but Dayu suggested Yi should retain that position for now. They agreed to target the Dongyue governor next, who held significant power and supported Yi. Dayu strategized to remove the Dongyue governor due to his misconduct, including neglecting reports of abuses by the Hong Shan clan and the Sanmiao clan's illegal activities. After an investigation confirmed these issues, Yi proposed a cautious approach to address the Dongyue governor's position. They decided to relieve him of his duties publicly and appointed the Ji Zhou garrison commander as his replacement, setting the stage for future actions against the Sanmiao clan.Full content
