Summary

Zha Gu Meng, pretending to be unconscious, is brought out of his cage by three mechanical giant wolves on a ship. He encounters a human named Mei Lun, who is amused by Zha Gu Meng's fear of humans, which he associates with terrifying childhood stories. After some discussion, Zha Gu Meng reveals he is 23 cycles of tides old, which Mei Lun calculates to be nearly 70 years. Mei Lun learns about Zha Gu Meng's Na Jia clan and its location, the Whirlpool Island, which is near. Mei Lun, seeking collaboration, attacks marine creatures near the Whirlpool Island, causing chaos. When confronted by legendary Na Jia, he insists on meeting their leader. Despite initial hostility, the Na Jia leader, intrigued by Mei Lun’s power, agrees to discuss cooperation after witnessing his overwhelming strength. Mei Lun's strategy is to leverage the Na Jia for resource gathering during the Mystic Realm's opening, knowing they have historical grievances against human invaders. He requests information about the ocean world and humanity from the Na Jia leader, who begins recounting her clan's history and the ongoing conflict with humans.
