Summary

Zhang Xuan meets with Wei Yun Qi and learns that Xiao Huai Jing has come to Beihai County to acquire the treasures seized in Wucheng County. Zhang Xuan agrees to let Xiao Huai Jing take some of the treasures in exchange for his help in case someone reports Zhang Xuan's governance of the three counties to the court. Xiao Huai Jing is allowed to choose from the treasures, and he selects a large number of jewels. Afterward, Zhang Xuan meets with Xiao Huai Jing and they discuss the upcoming hero gathering in the capital, where martial generals will be selected and granted titles and fiefs. Zhang Xuan decides to participate in the gathering, accompanied by Yuan Qing and Wei Chi Gong. On their way to Licheng, they encounter Qin Yong, the adopted son of Qin Qiong, who is returning from a hunting trip.
